WE RIDE ADVENTURES
Who is behind it?
Marc Collins, owner and founder of MotoWorldTours, has over 25 years of off-road and touring experience on big enduros and other motorcycles.
He made his first enduro excursions at the age of 12 on a 50cc Malaguti and an 80cc Honda MTX.
Hobby racing was already practiced in the mid-1990s. For example in the IGE championship, on various free runs by different organizers or even in the legendary 8h enduro races of the Offroad Challenge, which were transferred to Eurosport at the beginning of the 2000s.
As early as 2001 he gave his first official and fully booked “BigBike-Training” in Schwedt/Oder. At that time, hardly anyone thought that you could seriously go off-road with big enduro bikes. And if we're honest, the majority of big enduro owners are still reluctant to do so.
After Marc Collins, seriously ill with cancer and, contrary to all predictions, just got away with his life again, he decided to integrate the topic of motorcycles even more deeply into his everyday life.
In addition to his full-time job at a big building materials company, he scouted and guided tours for various providers in Europe, Africa and Asia.
In doing so, he found more and more that he did not really like the wishes and concepts of his clients.
From this he developed the touring, event and training concept for MotoWorldTours.
The tours and trainings at MotoWorldTours differ in some cases quite significantly from those of other providers. On the one hand, they do not always take place on the same places or routes and, on the other hand, the proportion of off-road tours on off-road tours is above average.
The individual training courses, for example, are designed as "training on the trail".
Because according to his philosophy, this is similar to getting a driver's license. You are taught the basic skills and then you are given permission to drive on public roads. In order to steer your vehicle safely through the terrain, you need driving experience. And that's exactly what you get at MotoWorldTours.
Thanks to the specially developed performance levels (Easy, Classic, Hard and Expert), you can quickly and easily see which off-road adventure suits you best.
In addition, there are always one-off special tours in the program that are dedicated to a specific topic.
In addition, he has built a large community through social media, from which the unique and annual United BigBike Offroader Meeting (U.B.B.O.M.) developed.
